We’re really pleased to finally announce that back in December, Double Eleven was lucky enough to acquire another development studio. Please welcome VooFoo Studios to the family!
We hope you’re as excited about this as we are, particularly with VooFoo’s much-awaited This Is Pool on the horizon. If you’re not familiar with VooFoo, they’re responsible for the highly-lauded Hustle Kings, the ‘Pure’ simulation series and the very cool Mantis Burn Racing (which we highly recommend you check out if you missed it).
The acquisition was announced by GamesIndustry.biz this morning, but here’s what the bosses had to say:
Double Eleven CEO and co-founder Lee Hutchinson is excited to bring VooFoo into the Double Eleven family, stating that the team have “really big plans for the future.”.
“With VooFoo’s track record of clean design and strong execution, along with their breadth of experience, we’re looking forward to a relationship that will positively impact the type of entertainment experiences we can offer.”
Mark Williams, VooFoo’s MD and co-founder is enthused by the flexibility that working with Double Eleven will bring.
“I see it as a fantastic opportunity to leverage our collective strengths and do things we might not have been able to otherwise. While Double Eleven has a huge amount of technical experience, they also bring a lot more to the table in terms of support and resources from both a development and publishing point of view.”
