Playtesting @ Double Eleven

Thank you for your interest in playtesting at Double Eleven. Get early access to upcoming games, give your feedback, and get rewards.

If you have any questions, check out the sections below for more information. If you can’t find the answer to your question or need support, please email us on [email protected].

Playtesting is the industry’s way of getting games in front of players as early as possible. We do this by giving exclusive early access to members of the public to get feedback and find out a game’s early strengths and flaws, giving us a good idea of whether it will be commercially viable.

This is not Quality Assurance (QA), where professional testers look for and report bugs (and there will be bugs), our playtests focus on the experience of playing.

We don’t even mind if you don’t like it, your honest feedback is what’s most important to us.

We select playtesters on a game-by-game basis. Once enough applicants have completed the linked form above we will invite those selected via email to come and playtest an early build of the game.

There are plenty of upcoming opportunities to playtest for us, so if you aren’t selected this time don’t worry.

Where will it be?
Either at our Middlesbrough Office or at the Teesside University Labs. The venue will be confirmed on the invite email.

Are there restrictions?
All playtesters must be able to prove they are over 18 through providing documentation like a drivers licence or passport and be in the Middlesbrough or local area. If selected, you will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before you can participate. This will be made more clear to you in the invite email.

Do I need experience?
We’re interested in all skills and experience levels, whether you play games or not, everybody is welcome!

What’s in it for you?
It’ll depend on the project, but we always giveaway free promotional Double Eleven swag to our playtesters. Plus there will be free food and drink (who doesn’t love that?!).

Sign-up now by completing the short form linked above.

Don’t worry if you need to change any details, you have 10 days from completing the form to update your information.

If you need any help completing the form, or if something changes and you will be unavailable to playtest for us, then get in touch with [email protected] and we can either remove you from our system or keep you in mind for future playtesting sessions.
